BIOGRAPHY
Daniele Barraco (aka DB) is a specialised commercial photographer and director.
He grew up as a musician touring in Europe as drummer with his band since seventeen.
He considers himself a modern classicist. He's passionate about people, their faces and their stories.
His images are published on Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Hearst magazines, Sportweek, Corriere Corriere della Sera, Style Magazine, Le Figarò, The Guardian, The Observer, Sidney Morning Herald.
He portrayed: Sting, Christopher Walken, Oliver Stone, John Malkovich, Willem Dafoe, Adriana Lima, Zucchero and Pierfrancesco Favino just to name a few.
In 2018, with the documentary VERO DAL VIVO - FRANCESCO DE GREGORI, Daniele marks his debut as filmmaker. The film, where composer and singer Francesco De Gregori is portrayed with no filters, is produced by Caravan in cooperation with Rai Cinema and supported by MIBACT, the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.
Previewed at XIII Rome Cine Fest on October 24th was broadcasted prime time on Rai 3 December 1st, 2018.
In 2021 he is invited to become a BMW Motorrad Italy Ambassador inside SoulFuel Stories, a miniseries telling about motorcyclists who have allowed their passion to become a way of life.
In his episode titled THE LIGHT SEEKER, Daniele confronts his spasmodic search for the perfect light, outside of time and space.
In 2022 (after the pandemic slow down) his second documentary project HANGAR RELOADED is finally out on Nexo Digital platform.
Filmed between Venice, Milan, New York and Shanghai Hangar Reloaded is a long sequence about creative thinking, which finds its primary essence in travel. A continuous, silent, intimate journey in which the passion for creativity is born and nurtured.
He is currently a Panasonic Lumix Ambassador and Eizo ColorEdge Creative partner.
Daniele is working in advertising photography in Italy and abroad, he is developing a new documentary project and he is writing this himself using the third person.
